Before Your Stem Cell or PRP Injection
Proper preparation before your injection helps ensure optimal safety, comfort, and treatment effectiveness. This guide explains everything you need to know before your PRP or ReVivaStem® procedure.
Medications to Avoid
For 7–10 days before your procedure, avoid: NSAIDs (Advil, ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, naproxen); Aspirin (unless prescribed by your doctor); Steroid medications (unless medically necessary); These medications can interfere with the regenerative response. You may take: Tylenol (acetaminophen); Prescription medications unless specified otherwise.
Hydration & Nutrition
On the day before and the day of your injection: Drink plenty of water; Eat a light meal; Avoid alcohol; Do not fast unless instructed. Proper hydration improves PRP and stem cell yield.
What to Wear
Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the treatment area: Shorts for knee or ankle treatments; Loose pants or shorts for hip treatments; Sleeveless or loose shirts for shoulder or elbow injections.
After the Injection
You may experience: Soreness or pressure in the treated area/ Mild swelling/ Temporary stiffness/ A “fullness” sensation in joints. These symptoms are normal and resolve within several days. We recommend avoiding: High-impact activity/ Heavy lifting/ NSAIDs. We will provide detailed aftercare instructions tailored to your treatment.

Bone marrow is collected under local anesthesia
The sample is processed into a concentrated biologic
